   DOORWAYS

 

Measure:
 

  • The Narrowest Part of the Door Frame Width

  • The Height of the Door Frame

Tip: Often feet are sent seperatly on sofas, or can be taken off, meaning you may have a little more room to play with.

   OBSTRUCTIONS

 

Measure:
 

  • The Narrowest Part of the Hall or Space.

  • The Height between Floor and Celing.

​

Tip: Watch out for obstructions, such as radiatiors or walls that jutt out. Always measure the narrowest part as your items need to get past these.

Hall measurements to see if your furniture will fit on delivery

   INTERNAL DOORS & SPACE

 

Measure:
 

  • Alway measure turning and manovering space, the width, depth and height.

  • Obstructions such as pendant lights, or flush fitting lights

Tip: Watch out for lower ceiling heights, and tight turning space. The box can be turned on its end, but make sure the width and depth of the box can turn in this space, and

there is enough height to stand it on its end

   STAIRS

 

Move:
 

  • Always measure the narrowest part of the stairs, this is often at the banister.

  • Measure the narrowest space between ceiling and stairs, this is very important.

​

Tip: Sloping celings can cause issues, especially if the landing spaces are tight. a sofa will need to be carried up on its end, to turn corners, check it can do so.

   FURNITURE & DECOR

 

Move:
 

  • Always, remove furniture to create a clear space .

  • Always remove, ornaments and art, so nothing gets damaged.

Tip: Making space beforehand eliminates the risk of

damage, and makes everyone's lives easier during the 

delivery.

Landing measurements to check if furniture will fit through

   STAIRS & LANDING

 

Measure:
 

  • Always, measure narrow spaces, your item will need to get past these.

  • Can it stand on its end, on the landing, to be turned in a tight space, always check the ceiling height.

Tip: Pay special attention to sloaping ceilings, and

narrow stairways, these can be very tricky, especialy if

the stairs continue up with no landing area..

Measure:
 

  • Will the item fit turned at an angle? Remember this will make the item longer, than wehen on its end.

  • Measure the height between the banister and the ceiling, sometimes and item may neen to be liften up and over this.
